Dear NH customers:
This past August Governor Kelly Ayotte signed changes to the Oil Discharge & Pollution fees under House Bill 658-FN to be effective on January 1st, 2026. These changes have resulted in fees going from .01375 to .02715, a 97.5% increase. These fees are collected to help homeowners with a substantial oil spill or environmental damage caused by a leaking tank; this is an excellent program for these unexpected challenges and related environmental cleanup and remediation costs. Brideau Energy previously absorbed the cost of these fees. Now that the fees have increased substantially, we are notifying you that this cost will be added as a line item on your delivery ticket effective February 1st, 2026. If we make a 150-gallon delivery the fee will be just over $4.00. Please let us know if you have any questions regarding this upcoming change. As always, we Thank-You for your business and loyalty.
